Hosting children from Belarus and Ukraine
Every summer we bring a group of children from Belarus or Ukraine to stay for one month with local families. These children are  from towns and villages which are still contaminated from the Chernobyl disaster in addition to this they could also be from extremely poor families, children who are siblings of disabled children and also have poor health themselves. Each year we  fundraise to cover the costs for the children's travel to the UK . It costs £450 per child
The visit
The children stay for one month usually in the months June or July with a host family in the local area. There are group activities organised for the children  for some of the days during their stay.
Hosting
Being a host family is a very rewarding experience. The children become like part of the family. Some of our host families have been hosting children for 15 years.Host families receive full support throughout the whole visit.
